The Harborough Theatre

Strange as it may seem, this small theatre was originally built as a bicycle shed in 1934 for the
Symingtons Factory just across the road! It stands on the spot once occupied by 'The Green Dragon'
Inn which disappeared at the turn of the last Century.

The sound of footsteps are heard on occasion supposedly walking across a floor that no longer exists!
Internal intercoms have rung for attention when no-one else is in the building and the voice of a
woman singing, mysteriously appeared on a recently opened blank tape.

The late Norman Ward, who was in charge of theatre lighting for over 30 years, offers a tale to
explain who the ghostly footsteps might belong to....

A ghostly voice is heard on
a brand new blank tape...

Theatre stalwart Norman Ward
